Meseret Care Fund

Meseret Care Fund (MCF) helps families living with HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia, usually women-headed households with children.
We help address the multiple impacts affecting our families. In addition to the direct challenge of living with the virus, the entire family is affected by associated socio-economic impacts which occurs when a family member is affected, exacerbating the existing cycle of poverty and hardship.
Our vision is to assist families through financial, material and emotional supports, in particular:
- Ensuring access to drugs and health services, and assisting with medical costs
- Ensuring all children are in full-time education and that our supports to the families ensure they can stay there
- Assisting with development of small businesses, ultimately allowing our families to become independent of MCF
- Fostering the conditions for mutual support and assistance amongst our families
Our goal is for our families not just to survive but to become self-reliant and be able to look forward to a brighter future.
